Here’s how we got the job done.
Day One: Initial Oil Spill Cleanup
Team Pro-Enviro arrived on site prepared with grease sweep, TC solution, and our bobcat sweeper. The bus had lost most of its oil before parking, leaving a trail of oil in its path. However, a heavier buildup remained on the south end of the lot due to the slope.
We carefully covered the spill area with grease sweep to absorb the oil, scrubbing and piling it for removal. The bobcat was then used to sweep up the contaminated material, while additional TC solution was applied and scrubbed over the heaviest areas. It was especially bad in the spot where the bus collided with a parking block. Once the majority of the grease sweep and oil was removed, we loaded our equipment and returned to the yard.
Day Two: Final Cleanup
The next morning, we returned to the location with fresh supplies of grease sweep and TC solution to ensure the spill area was completely remediated. Our team sprayed and scrubbed the area, reapplying grease sweep and TC where needed. The bobcat sweeper was run over the entire spill until the surface was dry and clean.
Special attention was given to the area under the bus, where a small amount of oil remained. By the end of the day, the site was fully cleaned and safe for use, and the customer was able to have the bus towed to Seattle without further issue.
