We specialize in fuel spill recovery, cargo load recovery and heavy-truck recovery, but sometimes duty calls and requires something more! In this incident, we had to do a little electrical work to fix a refrigerated trailer.
On February 26th, 2021, Team Pro-Enviro was involved in a recovery that required ingenuity, expertise and a comprehensive recovery plan. A truck hauling a refrigerated trailer-load of beef blew a snow chain. The chain flew and badly damaged the fuel tank and trailer electrical lines. In addition, it caused structural damage to the trailer.
Fuel Spill Recovery
When the customer called, he noted fuel spilled at the scene. Upon arrival, we estimated up to 20 gallons of fuel leaked on the roadway, needing immediate fuel spill recovery.
Working with Team Pro-Tow on the recovery and the Washington State Department of Ecology, we were able to contain the spill and fix the damaged lines. Then, we got to work cleaning up the roadway.
Save the Cow!
Meanwhile, the refrigerated trailer was no longer keeping things cold! It suffered electrical line damage from the snow chain and needed an electrical fix and cargo load recovery. Team Pro-Tow got to work under the trailer to fix the electrical connection to the fridge so we could save the valuable beef.
We successfully got the refrigerated trailer operational! We used our heavy-duty wrecker to haul the working trailer and its 38,000 beefy load to a secure location. The customer was thrilled that the cargo load recovery was successful. They had a lot at “steak.”
