In this incident, on June 16, 2020, Team Pro-Enviro received an emergency dispatch about an out-of-area semi-truck collision near North Bend, WA. It needed both heavy truck towing and extensive spill recovery. Washington State Patrol (WSP) specifically requested a heavy-duty wrecker to remove a truck and trailer blocking the roadway. We dispatched one heavy-duty crane-style wrecker and one heavy-duty recovery wrecker to be extra safe. Our team then set out.
Pro-Enviro responded to a dispatch for an emergency diesel fuel oil spill on NB Interstate 5 South of Seattle at S. 272nd Street. The trailer had hit some road debris which punctured the fuel tank, causing the fuel spill. We arrived quickly at the scene, along with Team Pro-Tow, the Washington State Department of Transport, Incident Response and Washington State Police.
You have heard on the news that the trucking industry has become a front line during the COVID-19 pandemic. We support this industry with spill response and accident recovery services, and see first hand the impact it’s had on the industry. With a truck gets into an accident, not only is it a safety risk to the driver and everyone else on the road, it means that the transportation of goods and supplies has paused.
