In this incident, on July 28, 2020, a loaded commercial truck and trailer ended up in a major incident. The trailer left the roadway, hit a tree, and collapsed utility poles onto it. Team Pro-Enviro and Pro-Tow responded to an emergency dispatch from the King County Sheriff’s office.
First: Remove the Truck
Once we arrived at the scene, we assessed the situation and planned the best approach. To start, Pro-Tow handled the truck and trailer recovery process. With the addition of the power pole involved in the accident, we required extra safety precautions to avoid extra damage to the scene or our team.
As always, we took every step to ensure the safety of our people, customers, and surrounding environment. During the job, the team needed to avoid a low-voltage main terminal connection box, which was handled successfully. Once the truck had been lifted out, it was time for the truck accident cleanup.
Next: Clean Up and Clear Out
With the amount of damage and debris, we brought in an enclosed dump trailer to move it all off the scene. The property itself had also suffered damage, including a completely smashed fence. Pro-Enviro got to work on the accident debris cleanup.
Vehicle fluid and debris were spread out all around the scene. We got to start with the spill cleanup portion, focusing first on the spilled coolant, engine oil, transmission oil and other hazardous materials. We took care to dutifully clean up any trace of the spills, which could otherwise cause environmental damage and taint the soil.
From there, we then began the accident debris cleanup from the damaged fence, smashed trees, and additional property damage. We loaded these into the dump trailer and finished this recovery.
Pro-Enviro specializes in accident recovery and spill response. If there is hazardous materials and debris, trust us to restore the site quickly and effectively.
