In July of 2018, we were called to a significant truck accident recovery incident on the I-90 near North Bend, Washington. A tractor-trailer had caught on fire and burned completely to the ground. Team Pro-Enviro arrived on the scene alongside Pro-Tow 24 Hour Towing, the Washington State Patrol and Washington State Department of Transportation.
On March 6, 2020, Pro-Tow received a dispatch for truck accident recovery in Ravensdale. A dump truck had gone off the road and was in the ditch, needing heavy-duty towing. We went out to attempt a straight and forced winch extraction as per the customer's request. However, when we arrived at the scene, we found an estimated 50 gallons of fuel and oil spilled because of the accident. Unfortunately, there was significant groundwater contamination that needed to be cleaned up too.
You have heard on the news that the trucking industry has become a front line during the COVID-19 pandemic. We support this industry with spill response and accident recovery services, and see first hand the impact it’s had on the industry. With a truck gets into an accident, not only is it a safety risk to the driver and everyone else on the road, it means that the transportation of goods and supplies has paused.
During these unprecedented times, people are starting to worry about the supply chain of food and other goods. Grocery stores are working hard to keep the shelves stocked, but still, items like toilet paper and household cleaners are hard to come by.
In this incident on 2018-05-05, we responded to a dispatch from Washington State Police 911 dispatch about a semi-truck and trailer involved in an accident at WB SR18 J/E of Hobart Issaquah Road. Our Pro-Tow division arrived quickly at the scene with two heavy-duty wreckers as required by Washington state law for towing a semi-truck and trailer.
