A lot goes into spill response and effective truck accident recovery. Pro-Enviro is dispatched when there is a motor vehicle fuel or oil spill, or when a load containing other hazardous material is lost on the road. In these blog archives, you’ll discover what is entailed with spill recovery. It includes assessment, creating a complete heavy vehicle accident management plan, and then getting to work with spill containment, collection, disposal and remediation.
In many cases, our team at Pro-Tow 24 Hour Towing is on the job too. Pro-Tow uses wrecker style cranes to help with the heavy lifting to get the accident site cleaned up so we can open it back up to local traffic. We also work alongside local agencies like the Washington State Police and Fire Departments, and the Washington Department of Transportation. If you want more information about what we do, contact us any time.
A semi-tractor and trailer caught on fire on the I-90 near Issaquah, WA on March 7, 2020. Both Team Pro-Enviro and Pro-Tow were called to the scene to tow the smoked-out tractor and trailer and perform full accident and spill recovery. Because the truck was on fire, there were burned truck parts, debris, and other harmful contaminants on the roadway.
In this incident, Team Pro-Enviro and Team Pro-Tow responded to an emergency call from Washington State Police 911 dispatch about a trailer that had broken apart a firework stand and was blocking lanes on SR18 near Covington, WA. Screws, plywood, roofing materials and various debris were littered across the shoulder and all lanes. Both divisions responded quickly to clear and reopen this busy roadway.

In July of 2018, we were called to a significant truck accident recovery incident on the I-90 near North Bend, Washington. A tractor-trailer had caught on fire and burned completely to the ground. Because of the range of contamination, it needed immediate spill response. Team Pro-Enviro arrived on the scene alongside Pro-Tow 24 Hour Towing, the Washington State Patrol and Washington State Department of Transportation.
On March 6, 2020, Pro-Tow received a dispatch for truck accident recovery in Ravensdale. A dump truck had gone off the road and was in the ditch, needing heavy-duty towing. We went out to attempt a straight and forced winch extraction as per the customer's request. However, when we arrived at the scene, we found an estimated 50 gallons of fuel and oil spilled because of the accident. Unfortunately, there was significant groundwater contamination that needed to be cleaned up too.
